Shaftesbury

An extension to the front of a family home in Thornbury, delivered through to lock up stage. The new work was carefully tied into the existing Californian bungalow, continuing the original rooflines, weatherboards and period detailing to feel like part of the original home and sit naturally within the surrounding streetscape.

Scope of work

Extension — full construction package through to lock up
Subfloor — traditional timber subfloor construction
Framing — new floor, wall and roof framing tied into the existing home
Roofing — new roof integrated with the existing bungalow gables
External — weatherboards, timber windows and period detailing
Gables — decorative timberwork and detailing to match the original home
