Erinvale

A mid-century house in Gisborne, worked on room by room. Raked timber ceilings were already there and stayed. What changed was everything that had worn out — the kitchen, the bathrooms, the floor the whole place sits on.

The colour was the client's call and we're glad they made it. A lagoon bathroom, an oxblood powder room, timber joinery in the kitchen. Not the safe choice, and better for it.

Scope of work

Kitchen — removal of existing kitchen, wall alterations, custom joinery, stone benchtops and new flooring
Main bathroom — removal of existing bathroom, wall alterations, new bathroom fit out, tiling, vanity, bath and shower
Powder room — complete strip out and rebuild, tiling, custom joinery and stone benchtop
Living and hallway — French pattern porcelain flooring, wall alterations, built in TV nook and custom joinery, custom brick fireplace surround integrated into existing walls
Laundry — new custom joinery and stone benchtops
Pergola and greenhouse — timber framing, posts, polycarbonate roofing and cladding
Carpentry throughout — alterations, finishing and making good to the existing structure
